Langeton was treasurer under Edward I, but later arrested on Edward II’s orders. He was finally freed after five years, with proceedings dropped and his lands returned. Contents: Proceedings in the Exchequer for collection of Langeton's debts, 1307-11; Evidence given by John Langeton; Hearing of complaints against Langeton, 1307-10.
